Bridesmaid Goes Into Labor Minutes Before Sister's Wedding

Twenty-two-year-old Gina Weeks’ water broke the morning of her sister’s wedding, but doctors told her she had enough time to watch the ceremony.

The soon-to-be-mom braved it through a pre-service photo session as her contractions began.

Five minutes before the ceremony, the contractions were “coming thick and fast,” the bride, Nikki Weeks, 37, told the Mail.

So she gathered up her skirts and her pregnant sister and marched her out the chapel door.

Gina's partner Russell Cox drove her to a nearby hospital, where their son Harley was born.

"Just as the speeches were finishing, our mum got the call to say that Gina had had a healthy baby boy," said Nikki Weeks. The baby weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces -- and the news of his arrival came just in time for a dance-floor birth announcement by the D.J.
